The comic

This comic was originally written in both English and German.

The game

The game can be played in German or English.

Connection between story and game

The comic tells the prequel to the events in the point-and-click adventure computer game Hilbert’s Holidays. Biographies of important mathematicians are made tangible in a playful way with the help of original contemporary documents such as photos or a radio address and a series of puzzles.

The author

The game was developed by Marlene in collaboration with the MIP.labor in Berlin and was funded by the Klaus Tschira Foundation. With her work as an artist and illustrator, and a Master’s degree in computer science, she combines her two passions: art and science! Her love of mathematics and playing with shapes and colours play a major role in making science more accessible. Her mission is therefore to help shape science communication with her illustrations and thus create low-threshold access. Do you want to support Marlene with the expenses for hosting the game and future development? Feel free to show your support at www.ko-fi.com/sanguinik.
